The Rocky Mountains provide the inspiration for Kim Roberts’ contemporary landscapes. Her motivation for making art is to share an experience of an expanded state of mind that often arises in the midst of high mountain landscapes. Kim’s intention is to create the space for the viewer to pause and take a moment to rest the mind and experience a sense of peace.

Each piece begins with a sense of place with the geography acting as a mirror for a sense of internal location evoked by each landscape. Through the dance of the elements, a new perspective dawns.
