Heaven, Earth + Human
The composition is designed to reflect what Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche described as the concept of Heaven, Earth, and Man, in his Dharma art talks.
The human element (the mountain) is the intersection of Heaven and Earth, but it is the smallest sector of the composition--just to remind us that Heaven and Earth dominate.
That's really what I feel here in Crestone where the earth and sky are so vast, and the humans so few and far between.
