Greetings!

This season has been filled with lots of changes, and changeability. It feels like a stop-go-stop-go period, including the near total white-out spring snowstorm today, after a week of bike-riding weather.

This is partly why I love the Colorado mountains - always filled with mystery and surprises.

After a long period of minimal output, I've finally had a chance - and the inspiration - to get back into the studio with a new approach. The past few years have been devoted mostly to oil painting, but I missed the encaustic wax monotype process. Since I moved out of my studio at Prism Workspaces, I'm now able to get back to that, and I've started using this technique to create my mountain landscapes.

It's always amazing when I experience the synchronicity of the universe when I find my groove again. Soon after discovering this new angle on my old technique, I was invited to exhibit at a new local coffee shop. I have a pop up exhibit beginning on May 3 for next two months at Blue Nest Coffee - a new series of encaustic wax abstract mountain monotypes.
